In doubles, the favorite couple Bandecchi-Silva also fell.

The player born in Madrid but based in Andalusia, Eva Guerrero has been the main protagonist of the fifth day of the Araba World Tennis Tour -Open Grupo Amutio. The number 343 of the WTA ranking knocked out the Chinese Lin Zhu, top 100, in a vibrant match of high level. After a start dominated by the Chinese who took the first set by 6-2, the Spaniard was able to add points with her backhand to go from dominated to dominant. More confident with her serve, she managed to take the second set 6-4. With the heat as a handicap for both, Guerrero held better on court and patiently forced errors in her rival. The match reached the third set, disputed, intense, with a fierce fight for every ball. The Spaniard did not miss her chance and took the final set 6-3. A victory that is an important boost for her career. In the quarterfinals, she will face the Swiss Bandecchi, number 5 of the tournament, a tough and very physical player. On the other hand, the French Jessika Ponchet, number 3, easily beat the Korean Ku by 6-1. She will face in the quarterfinals the player from Taiwan, Liang, a player who has been very confident in all her matches and who yesterday also starred in another of the surprises, after beating the number 6, the Lithuanian Mikulskyte in two sets.
