The Peña Vitoriana TC takes another leap forward and will organize an ITF 100,000 with about 80 players in the capital of Alava.

The 4th edition of the international tournament ARABA World Tennis Tour FEMENINO- Grupo Amutio takes a qualitative leap to become an ITF $100.000, a higher rank that once again places the event as the best in Euskadi and one of the best in Spain.

After those held in 2019, 2021 and 2022, one more step up, which certifies an important bet by the Peña Vitoria Tennis Club in consolidating this event that will turn Vitoria-Gasteiz into the world center of tennis between July 16 and 23.

Between July 3 and 9 will be held the II National Women’s OPEN Isa del Campo, which will be the previous to the ARABA World Tennis Tour FEMENINO- Grupo Amutio, that is, the winner will get a place for the finals and the finalist for the preliminary phase.

The profile of players who will come to the capital of Alava will be high, from the number 60 of the women’s world ranking. It is also added that this tournament will be held a week after Wimbledon, which will close the grass season and will be the first on hard surface, which will attract many players as a preparation for the season and with an eye on the US Open.

About 80 players who will compete both in singles and doubles will come to Vitoria. In addition to this, there will be a ratio of 3.5 people per player, which means that more than 450 people will stay overnight in Vitoria with a high hotel occupancy and an important economic impact for the city and the province of Alava.

In addition to the purely competitive, the event will have numerous parallel activities such as Tennis Street, tennis in the street that will expand its presence and not only take this sport to the center of the city but will reach different neighborhoods as well as about 20 sessions in schools in the city, a conference to raise the values of sport, a clinic for children or exhibition of wheelchair tennis.

It is important to note that this is a self-sufficient tournament, that is, organized, coordinated and devised by the Peña Vitoriana Tenis Club, which over the years has made a great effort in the training of national line judges and referees who are part of the structure of the entity itself.

It should be noted that the ARABA World Tennis Tour FEMENINO- Grupo Amutio is a tournament declared NON-PROFIT but, even so, it needs a great support to cover the budget, counting once again with the sponsorship of Grupo Amutio and the institutional support, mainly from the Provincial Council of Alava.
