The III edition of the national tournament Isa del Campo has served as the best prelude to the international tournament Araba World Tennis Tour Femenino-Open Grupo Amutio to be held on the courts of the Peña Vitoriana Tenis Club between July 16 and 23.
In an intense week of tennis, the favorite and number 1 seed Carolina Gómez won the title after defeating Nadine Arbaizar from Vitoria 6-0, 6-2 in the final. The Madrid player’s performance was impeccable after not dropping a single set and conceding a total of 7 games in her three matches against Karina Novikova, Ainhoa del Moral and Jimena Gómez.
The number 48 of the national ranking came to Vitoria with one goal, to get the passport to the finals of the Araba World Tennis Tour Femenino-Open Grupo Amutio and she has achieved it. Meanwhile, Nadine Arbaizar from Vitoria, finalist of the tournament, also achieved her reward by entering the preliminary round of the ITF 100,000 that will start next July 16.
The Isa del Campo has gathered up to three top 100 in the national ranking, the number 1 seed of the tournament, the Madrid player Carolina Gomez (ranking 48), the member of the club from Vitoria Nadine Arbaizar (ranking 99) or Berta Gutierrez (at number 87).
