Daria Snigur winner of the IV edition of the Araba World Tennis Tour FEMENINO Open Grupo Amutio

Vitoria-Gasteiz, July 23rd, 2023.- On the last day of the ARABA WORLD TENNIS TOUR FEMENINO Open Grupo Amutio that has been played at the Peña Vitoriana Tennis Club, the great individual final has been held between the Ukrainian and sixth seed, Daria Snigur, and the third seed and champion of the tournament in 2022, Jessika Ponchet.
In a disputed match decided in 3 sets, the French player started with a solid start, in a fast and entertaining first set, with equality until the seventh game, where the champion of the last edition managed to break her rival’s service, finally winning 6-3 in the first set.
The second set began with a clear dominance of the French tennis player, with backcourt hits, and has managed to get ahead on the scoreboard by 4-0. From then on, the trend changed, and Snigur managed to close the second set by 6-4. The third set was dominated by the Ukrainian player, winning 6-1, with a precise and errorless tennis, closing the match in 1h 37 minutes of play.
Prior to the final, an exhibition of wheelchair tennis was held between Rubén Valle and Raúl Moreno, giving visibility to these athletes and allowing them to appreciate the effort they have to make.
Thus, a great week of the best international women’s tennis closes, highlighting the good atmosphere lived throughout the week in the Peña Vitoriana, where there has been a large influx of public, which has been able to enjoy a great experience.
