The finalists will have the incentive of being able to participate in the Araba World Tennis Tour in July.
After 49 editions of the José María Ortega “Pochín” tournament, which was disputed in the men’s and women’s categories, the club has decided to give exclusivity to the women’s category with the creation of the Isa del Campo tournament. The first edition will be held between June 26 and July 4 and may participate players with national license. In addition to the prize money, with 500 euros for the winner and 250 euros for the runner-up, the great incentive will be the wild card for the final and preliminary phase, respectively, of the international tournament Araba World Tennis Tour “Araba en femenino”, which is part of the ITF circuit and this year is upgraded with a prize money of 60,000 dollars, making it the most important in Euskadi, above Bakio, Donosti or Getxo and will be held on the courts of the Vitoria club between 12 and 18 July.

This tournament fulfills a desire of the club as it was to have a national women’s tournament that gives opportunities to players and also serve as a tribute to one of the pioneering women in tennis in our province as has been Elisa del Campo, better known as “Isa”. Player and teacher of the first tennis school that was created in the Peña Vitoriana.
